  • TO: SENATE PAPER 3 E ç H Senate should decide the terms of office for those Senators elected last November.
  • (1) THE ACT: 24 (1) Membrs of Senate shall hold office for a period of 3ears and until their successors are appointed or elected.
  • (2) THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF SENATE The terms of office of Senators shall be as outlined in the Act, with the additional proviso that the term of office shall be taken to mean from the nearest June 1, which shall be the time new members take office.
  • (3) The Faculties and Joint Faculty in November, 1965, elected members for 3 years, 2 years, and 1 year, in order to give some turnover during the 3 years and obviate a complete turnover 3 years hence.
