  • Professor Carlson stated that human biology is physical anthropology, that the Archaeology Department already offers a first-year course in physical anthropology (i.e., human biology), that the proposed BISC 105 overlaps up to 80% with that course, that the Department of Biological Sciences has proposed the course primarily for students from the Faculty of Arts and that it should not, therefore, be approved.
