The University Act and Rules of Senate require that the Registrar report the results of

elections to Senate and the Board of Governors for information.

Faculty Election to Senate

A call for nominations was sent to all faculty members on May 1,2013 for the following

vacant positions on Senate:

Three faculty members from any faculty elected by Joint Faculty

One faculty member from Health Sciences elected by Joint Faculty

A nomination was received from Lisa Shapiro of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

for the position

of faculty member from any faculty elected by joint faculty.

was elected by acclamation with the term ofoffice ending on May 31, 2016.

A nomination was received from Jon Smith of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences for

the position offaculty member from any faculty elected by joint faculty, to replace Betty

Schellenberg from September 1,2013 to August 31,2014.

acclamation with the term of office ending on August 31,2014.

Another call for nominations will be issued during the Fall 2013 term to fill the

remaining vacancies.

Student Election to Senate

A call for nominations went out on May 2,2013 for the following vacant student

positions on Senate:

Student (undergrad or grad) from the Faculty of Education

Student (undergrad or grad) from the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology

There were no nominations submitted in this call for nominations.

Another call for nominations will be issued during the Fall 2013 term to fill these

vacancies.
