    The University Act and Rules of Senate requirethat the Registrar report the results of
    elections to Senate and the Board of Governors for information.
    Student Election to Senate
    A call for nominations was sent to all undergraduate and graduate students on January 10,
    2013 for sixteen student positions on Senate for term of office from June 1,2013 to May
    31,2014. The election rules state that there shall be at least one student elected from each
    faculty and at leastthree undergraduate andthree graduate students among the total
    number of students elected.
    Sixteen nominations were received: three graduate students and thirteen undergraduate
    students.
    In accordance with the requirements, the following
    four
    candidates are elected by
    acclamation for term of office from June 1,2013 to May 31, 2014:

    Student Election to Board of Governors
    A call for nominations was sent to all undergraduate and graduate students on January 10,
    2013 for two student positions on the Board of Governors: one undergraduate student,
    elected by and from the undergraduate studentbody, and one graduatestudent, elected by
    and from the graduate student body, for term of office from June 1,2013 to May 31,
    2014.
    Six undergraduate student nominations were receivedand online voting resulted in
    Caleb
    Kwon
    being elected to the undergraduate studentposition on the Board
    of Governors.
    Two graduate student nominations were received and online voting resulted in
    Yasmine
    Norouzi
    being elected to the graduate student position on the Board
    of Governors.
    Student Election to Senate Graduate Studies Committee
    A call for nominations was sent to all graduate students on January 10,2013 for four
    graduate student positions on the Senate Graduate Studies Committee for term of office
    from June 1,2013 to May 31,2014.
    One nomination was received and therefore
    Yasmine Norouzi
    was elected by
    acclamation to the regular position. The remaining three vacancies will be filled by
    elections at Senate through the Senate Nominating Committee.
    Student Election to SFU Community Trust
    A call for nominations was sent to all students on January 10,2013 for one student
    positions on the Senate Graduate Studies Committee for term of office from April 1,
    2013 to March 31,2014.
    Four nominations were received and online voting resulted in
    Japreet Lehal
    being elected
    to the student position on the SFU Community Trust.
