At its May 16, 2012 meeting SCUP reviewed and approved the proposal to suspend admission to the
Advanced Certificate in Criminology in the School of Criminology within the Faculty of Arts and Social
Sciences, effective immediately and dissolve the program, effective Spring 201X
Motion 1:
That Senate approve the suspension of admission to the Advanced Certificate in Criminology in the
School
of Criminology within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, effective immediately.
Motion 2:
That Senate approve and recommend to the Board of Governors the dissolution of the Advanced
Certificate in Criminology in the School of Criminology within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,
effective Spring 2013.

Action undertaken by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies at its meeting of
March 1, 2012, gives
rise to the following recommendations:
Motion 1:
That SCUP approve and recommend to Senate the suspension of admission to
the Advanced Certificate in Criminology in the School of Criminology within the
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Motion 2:
That SCUP approve and recommend to Senate the dissolution of the Advanced
Certificate in Criminology in the School of Criminology within the Faculty of Arts
and Social Sciences.
The relevant documentation for review by SCUP is attached.

AdvancedCertificate in Criminology as it has been superseded by newer, more specific advanced

There are no students remaining enrolledin this certificate.The one student who had not
completed has moved to one of the newer certificates.
Pleasecan you therefore, suspend admissionto this certificate, preparatory to deletion
