    Please be advised that the University Curriculum Office has approved the
    following designations for new CMPT courses created for the Surrey-based
    Systems program:
    CMPT 130 Introduction to Computer Programming I - Q/B-Sci
    effective 1127
    CMPT 135 Introduction to Computer Programming II - Q
    - effective 1131
    CMPT 166 An Animated Introduction to Programming - Q/B-Sci
    The Curriculum Office previously approved these courses in November 2010
    and April 2011. Due to a break in communications, information was not
    forwarded appropriately to the Faculty UCC and therefore SCUS when these
    courses were approved as new courses. Please ensure this memo is added to the
    SCUS agenda for the April 2012 meeting to ensure designation entry in the
    Fall 2012 Calendar and course catalogue.
