This course is designed for teachers who have already had experience
in Movement education and who wish to take an advanced course of theory
and practice of Laban's Principles.
Prere-quisites: P.D.P. 401, 402, 404 405,

the Faculty? No, up to date only one advanced course of any kind
of Movement Education has been offered and this was Jost during the
reshuffle and during the research leave of Prof. Warrell. 1971-2-.

10. Need for the course. Students who have previously been through
the Special emphasis and minor Programs have requested advanced courses.
B) The growing interest of teachers in the Province in the role of
Movement in Education has been demonstrated by their attendence at work-
shops ( given by S.F.U.) and by written and verbal enquiries.

Three Physical Education Consultants in the Lower Mainland have
strongly advised that such a course should be mounted as soon as possible,

This course is in keping with the principles and concerns of the
Fine Arts Council which was established as a result of the Fine Arts
Conference held at the Bayshore in Feb,,

and drama. Laban's work is now part of the prescribed
physical education for the Province and it is hoped that
as a result of this course teachers will understand this
analysis and be able to adapt it freely to classroom and
gymnasium.
