Description
In the course, participants will become familiar with a variety of approaches, teaching strategies
and B.C. curriculum, for teaching French as a second language in elementary and secondary
schools.
They will examine the linguistic, social and cultural goals of the B.C. French as a Second
Language Framework and their application toward current teaching philosophies and practices.
Participants will examine course materials used in B.C. FSL classes, study and practise
teaching techniques, acquire skills for evaluating second language teaching and learning, as well
as improve linguistic competence and confidence.
Practical application will be the focus.
