EDUC. 480-4 DESIGNS FOR LEARNING: FRENCH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

This course is intended for teachers of French as a second language
at the Elementary and Secondary levels ( a different course is
presently being designed for French Immersion teachers).
This course deals with a variety of methods including the functional
approach, suggestology and some intriguing concepts of Dr. A.
Tomatis, the inventor of the electronic ear.
The students will also learn to use error analysis techniques and
to adapt their teaching techniques to the specific needs of learners.
The general nature of the course will focus on practical applications
of various approaches using as support documents Vive le francais,
Bonjour Camáda, R.S.V.P., Passeport francais, Le Francais international.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
Elementary and Secondary teachers of French as a second language.
The course can be used for both degree completion and towards
an Extended Studies Diploma Program.
