DESCRIPTION:
This course introduces students to the practical classroom concerns of
planning and teaching in art education.
OBJECTIVES:
It is intended that students will
1.
become familiar with the requirements of the BC Fine Arts Curriculum
2.
be able to develop programmes in art for chosen groups of students
OUTLINE OF TOPICS:
Aims of art education, BC curriculum, making and appreciating art, art
history, the gallery visit, hands-on review of media, computer art, integration,
multicultural art activities, developing and teaching art lessons, evaluation.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
