    Objectives:
    This course is designed as an introduction to teaching art in the
    schools and should be of interest to teachers.. Major trends in art
    education today will be examined through discussion and readings.
    Hands-on activities will give the students experience in many media
    and a personal portfolio of examples..
    Special emphasis will be placed on the development of imagery in
    thematic units which will incorporate the basic components of the B.C.
    Art Curriculums..
    Eligibility: No prior experience with art is required for this
    course.
