OBJECTIVES:
This course is designed for beginning and practising teachers
who wish to examine -fundamental principles underlying
the
language
arts curriculum, and explore means of selecting and developing
materials, strategies and techniques to create a rich learning
environment far their students.
The course will contain theoretical and practical components,
and students will be expected to:-
- demonstrate an understanding of child development and curriculum
goals in designing appropriate learning activtes.
- examine various methods and strategies 7cr developing the
communication skills of reading, wrtng listening and speaking
- clarify a personal philosophy of lanquag.
