Objectives: It is intended that students will:
- develop an understanding of the broad concerns of curriculum theory which
serve to guide practical curriculum development.
- be able to develop curricula for classroom use in chosen areas of interest.
Outline of Topics:
The course will focus on: the educational needs of learner and society, the aims of
education, alternative models for curriculum planning -- the question they pose and some
ways of answering them, some typical kinds of conflicts in practice, developing curricula
for the individual classroom.

A paper involving the critical analysis of a curriculum concept
