    The course will have three principal objectives:

    issues which affect decisions regarding the education
    of young children in both home and school settings.
    2. Students will become competent in the design o4
    curriculum in a variety of forms for use in early
    childhood educational programs
    3. Students will become articulate about the problems and
    prospects that will impact the nature of early
    childhood education in the future.
    REQUIREMENTS
    Students will be required to complete two major assignments:
    1 ?
    A take-home examination, during late October. based

    on the malor textbook and lecture/discussion
    material
    2 ?
    A term paper, due the last day of class, based upon an
    issue concerned with educational futures for young
    children.
