EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Description
This course is designed as a general course for those interested in
teaching young children, aged 3-8 years. The overall aim of the course
is to pull together what is known about how childien lèa±mfrom their
environments in order to figure out how to gain some control over that
learning, whether in formal or informal educational settings. Readings
will range from basic pscyhology to rather practical education.
Requirements
In addition to readings, there will be paper assignments:
1.
An issue in the philosophy of early childhood education.
2.
A research paper on a topic in psychology applied to instruction.
3. A design project on a practical curriculum area.
