    Contemporary models of nursery school, kindergarten,
    primary and day care practices
    Facilitation of learning in selected curriculum areas
    Setting the scene for learning experiences.
    Planning to meet individual needs.
    Course Requirements
    • Reading from references of choice in each area of the
    course outline. Annotating records of reading.
    2.
    Observation of children and learning situations in
    selected field locations (undergraduates) or own classrooms
    (teachers) keeping records according to a guide sheet.
    3.
    Contributing to university class experience through:
    a) contributions to discussion b) working as a member of
    a small group in preparation of a learning centre for
    young children and c) setting up an art exploration
    experience.
    14. Writing a practical application examination.
