This course will cover the implementation of the Ministry's current prescribed learning outcomes
as outlined in the Integrated Resource Package. The material presented will include a wide variety
of instructional strategies in the areas of games, gymnastics and dance. Each session will be both
theoretical and practical in nature and students will work at their own level of ability. There will
be an emphasis on lesson planning and the development of instructional units of work for
students enrolled in kindergarten to grade seven.
REQUIREMENTS
1)
The development of an integrated learning experience at a selected grade level.
2)
The development of a modified/lead up game for either the primary or intermediate level, as
part of a group.
3)
Class participation, and the development of a simple movement sequence.
