DESCRIPTION
This course deals with theory, curricula and methodologies in drama education.
Outline of Possible Topics:
• aims of drama education
• drama and theatre
• drama as methodology
• the roles of the teacher &evaluation
• group dynamics
• integrating the arts
• creative drama
• improvisation
• storytelling
• ESL drama
OBJECTIVES
1.
To introduce students to a variety of approaches, techniques and sources for drama teaching.

To acquaint students with pedagogical issues related to drama teaching. ?

To encourage in critical discussion regarding the theoretical grounding for

REQUIREMENTS
1.
Theatre history project - 30%
2.
Readers theatre project - 20%
3.
Development of drama unit - 40%
4.
Leading warm-up exercises; active participation in class projects - 10%
