DESCRIPTION
This course introduces theory, curricula, and methodologies in drama education.
Outline of POSSIBLE topics for exploration. Final choice of topics will reflect
student needs, interests, and backgrounds:
• aims of drama education
• drama as methodology
• drama and theatre
• the roles of the teacher & evaluation
• group dynamics & the development of community
• drama and integration
• creative drama
• improvisation
• story telling
• play building
• drama games
• movement and drama
• voice and drama
• forum theatre/Theatre of the Oppressed
• ESL drama
