The Summer Institute in Environmental Education is an interdisciplinary program that
addresses the educational implications of human-environment interactions. It is

perspective of their potential to develop awareness, understanding, research and
problem-solving skills. Topics covered will include environmental awareness and
action strategies, environmental curriculum development, and critiques, human-
environment relationships, environmental ethics, marine and aquatic studies, marine
mammal studies, neighborhood and community studies, outdoor education and the
use of the many resources.

development activities, as well as specific in-course tasks addressing various
course contexts.
