Environmental
Education (Outdoor Education)
The design of multi-disciplinary educational programs to develop awareness of
[lie urban and natural environment.
This summer the Summer Institute in Environmental Education will depart from
its normal practice of offering the program remote from the S.F.U. campus in a
residential format. The program will still be offered as a Summer Institute,
meaning that the focus of immersion in an 8-semester hour two course block will
be retained, but actual 24 hour residence will not be required.
?
The course will
?
have dedicated laboratory work space during July which will be accessible to
students on a 7-day week basis.
?
The course will feature extensive field
experiences in the Greater Vancouver Region and South Western B.C. It is
therefore not expected that students enrolling in 452/462 will take other courses
concurrently during summer session.
