This course is the continuation of Educ 450-4 (even though it is not a prerequisite) and is
concerned with the practical application of the theories discussed in that course. It is open to
students who have completed Educ 450-4 or who have completed Fren 202-3. The course will be
given in French and is limited to 15 students.
Students will have a series of immersion experiences in French whose objectives are:
1.
To broaden vocabulary in the school subject areas.
2.
To improve French oral and written expression.
3.
To acquire first-hand experience in immersion methodology.
4.
To develop awareness of and sensitivity towards French culture.
Featured in this course will be oral and written presentations by the students, "field work" in
French, immersion classroom observations and a French Immersion weekend with language
classes and socio-cultural activities.
