There are numerous strategies for incorporating law-related, social justice, and citizenship dimensions
into both formal and informal school curricula. This course explores a variety of methods for teaching
legal concepts, citizenship and social responsibility, processes, and skills to students of all ages, from K
to 12, specifically using strategies such as case studies, mock trials, fairytales, mediation, negotiation,
and justice circles. It provides innovative and fun ways to integrate legal learning into the classroom to
create engaging, challenging learning activities for students. The course also provides an overview of
online law resources and web site information.
PREREQUISITE:
EDUC 401/402 or EDUC 446.
