    Range of Topics:
    This is a fieldwork course which will take place on site at an
    Indian run school in B.C. Throughout the six weeks, students
    will work with band members on the production of curriculum
    resource materials which will be based on a series of activities
    such as fishing, basket making, storytelling and preparation of
    Indian foods. This will involve photographing, tape recording
    and writing about these activities and then editing, organizing
    and polishing what has been produced so that it can be used in
    the band operated school.
    Special Instructions:
    Students registering for this course require permission of the instructor.
    It is recommended that since they will be off campus for 6 weeks that 404
    students concurrently register for 2-4 units of directed study in inter-
    cultural education under my direction.

    Note: students are advised to contact me prior to April 5. I will be out
    of town from the 5th to the 14th. The final day for late submission of
    pre-registration for summer session is April 26. The recommended day is
    April 1.
    Requi rements:
    Each student will work on a project and produce resource materials
    for use in the school. The project will be accompanied by
    instructions for classroom use.
