    Philosophical study of the ethical aspects of education and schooling.
    In particular:
    1.
    Discussion of the ethical and social foundations of public schooling
    and its goals.
    2.
    Elucidation of central concepts - such as "interests", "self-determination"
    and "equality".
    3.
    Consideration of what "moral education" is or could be.
    4.
    Assessment of the uses and abuses of the notion of freedom as found
    in discourse on educational and related matters.
