    Course Description:
    Serious consideration will be given to the nature and status
    of moral judgments; ?
    this analysis will be used to investigate the
    possibilities of moral education in schools and to confront the
    several value dimensions of school counselling.

    Requirements: (1) short review of a book on 20th C. ethics.

    one class presentation.
    (3)
    one major research paper on a topic of the
    student's choosing.

    students may undertake a practice oriented

    topic (such as constructing a values education course for Grade Eight)
    or a more theoretical subject (here students are not restricted to the
    field of philosophy; they may select a topic in cognitive developmental
    psychology, social learning, theory, sociology, history and so on).
