PREREQUISITE: 60 credit hours
This course examines a number of philosophical questions relating to curriculum, most
particularly the fundamental questions of what constitutes a good educational curriculum
and how one justifies it as such. In pursuing those central questions a number of other
key educational concepts are examined, including knowledge, emotions and intellect.
Consideration will also be given to arguments for and against the inclusion of a number
of curriculum subjects. (Previous knowledge of philosophy is not presumed).
REQUIREMENTS:
Class participation, class presentation and term paper.
