MEMORANDUM

In November 1973, Senate approved Paper S.73-125, a part of which

follows:

"Issue 3. PrOliferation of Course Offerin

c) That any course not offered within a six semester period be deleted

from the calendar unless adequate justification for retaining the course

is presented to the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies and Senate.

The Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies to be charged each semester

with reviewing course offerings under this ruling and making appropriate

recommendations to Senate."

Our records indicate that the cours listed below has shbwn no

enrolment for the past six semesters. Under the terms of Paper S.73-125,

this course will be dropped from the 1980/81 calendar unless jsutification

to the contrary is presented to and accepted by SCUS and Senate.

Please confirm in writing to this office by September 14, 1979:

i)

If the Faculty agrees the course listed above is to be deleted from

the undergraduate calendar; or

ii)

If the Faculty requires the course listed above be retained and justi-

For your information we are enclosing a copy of a letter of justifi-

cation in connection with the same course which was questioned a year ago.
