PREREQUISITES: 60 hours of credit
Objectives:
Education 426 is a course that explores the challenges faced by children with low incidence disabilities
(e.g., Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders) in school and community environments. The
focus of the course will be on intervention approaches to assist children with special needs in the
classroom. Each student will be required to participate in a tutorial for one hour per week at the DSRF
which consists of assisting a student with disabilities.
