DESCRIPTION
Objectives:
Education 426 is a course that explores the challenges faced by children with low incidence
disabilities (e.g., autism, severe developmental disabilities) in a school environment. The focus of the
course will be on intervention approaches to assist children with special needs in the classroom. Each
student will be required to conduct a case study which involves spending a minimum of 15 hours
assisting a child or adult with disabilities in a school and/or home environment. All Education 426
students will be required to obtain a criminal record check prior to conducting their case study.
