    We as teachers

    this class we will have an opportunity to expand and share the diverse range of knowledge and experience

    FORMAT
    Articles discussions handouts audio-visual materials and
    other
    resources will explore issues related
    to students with Special Needs and students
    who
    may L'e "At Risk" for not meeting their potential
    Guest speakers will
    be invited to share their specific expertise.
    COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
    1.
    Reading Responses - Four readings with five marks
    assigned to each response
    2.
    Design and development of
    a
    comprehensive Resource Package
    3.
    A L'rief in-class presentation
    4.
    One research paper on topic of interest
    5.
    Four quizzes on following:
    • Key terms and concepts
    • Children & youth with intellectual differences/
    developmental and communicaiton disorders
    .• Children & youth with sensory impairments/behavior/
    health disorders
    • Teaching for diversity including students who are "At Risk"
    6.
    Full participation in all classroom activities
