COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for senior students and practicing
teachers who wish to acquire psychological knowledge and
counselling skills that can be applied in the classroom setting.
The focus of the class will be on an eclectic approach to how
children's problems develop and are maintained, and steps that
can be taken to prevent and resolve problems. Special topics will
be considered, such as: classroom meetings, parent-teacher
relationships, discrimination, abuse, self-esteem. The emphasis
