This course is intended for senior students or practicing teachers who wish to
explore the area of school counseling and develop some counseling skills that
can be used within a classroom setting. A combination of lectures, discussion and
supervised practice will be used as a means for exploring such areas as: the role
of the school counselor, school counseling systems, vocational decision making,
standardized testing, communication skills, and affective development.
