Specific Information:
Pre-requisite: Ed 422 (Component course in Minor Program)
Time: (a) Lecture every Monday 10 a.m. - 12:30 from May 8th
to June 19th in Room AQ 5036.
(b) Lab practicuin 4 days per week, one hour per day,
starting July 3rd and ending July 27th. The lab
will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Mondays
to Thursdays, at two schools.
Students' selection of learning-disabled children/adolescents:
On the first day of class, you will be asked to state the
grade level (e.g., primary, intermediate or secondary), and learning
problem (reading or math or both) of the learning-disabled pupil you
want to work with. So think carefully about your choice.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, students will:
(1)
Demonstrate knowledge of various kinds of academic and non-
academic learning problems.
(2)
Demonstrate critical knowledge of various remedial approaches.
(3)
Demonstrate competence in assessment of academic learning
problems.
(4)
Demonstrate competence in planning a general remedial strategy
for academic learning problems.
Grading:
Students' final grade will be composed of:
(a)
