    ANALYSIS OF TEACHING
    SUMMER SESSION 1978
    .Dr. Greta Morine-Dershimer.
    This course will analyse teaching from four different perspectives:
    teaching as alternative instructional strategies; teaching as classroom
    interaction; teaching as the creation of classroom cultures; and teaching
    as information processing. Each of these perspectives of teaching will be
    examined in relation to research on teaching effectiveness. The practical
    implications of each of these views of teaching will be explored in depth.
    Class activities will inclUde brief lectures, film and video tape presentations,
    and small group projects.
    Requirements for this course will include: approximately 150 pages of
    reading per week, a minor and a major paper, and a final examination.
