PREREQUISITE:
60 credit hours & EDUC 220 (corequisite).
Objectives:
Education 422 is a theory-based course that is complimentary to Education 424, the practical lab-based
course on children with learning disabilities. In Education 422, students will be introduced to the
theoretical issues and foundations of the field of learning disabilities. Issues that will be discussed
include: The concept of learning disabilities, the causes of learning disabilities, academic and social
development of children with learning disabilities and the curricular and social environments that assist
children with learning disabilities and their families.
