COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides students with an understanding of what the concept of learning disabilities is all
about. It also informs students on current issues and research findings in the field.
Hence, Educ 422 focuses more on conceptual and research dimensions of learning disabilities, and lays
the necessary foundation for the more practical dimensions of assessment and remediation of
learning disabilities in Educ 424: Learning Disabilities Practicum.
REQUIREMENTS
• Midterm - 35%
• Finals - 35%
• Three think papers, each worth 10% each - total 30%
