Course Objectives
• students will examine and develop their own approaches to teaching Science as well as analyzing current
research.
• students will build a repertoire of practical skills involving the discovery method (inquiry, problems
approach)
• students will develop strategies that encourage participation of all students as well as promote critical
thinking.
Evaluation
Student evaluations will be based on a combination of self, peer, and instructor evaluations.
20% Mini-Presentation (TBA)
25% 3-page Essay
35% Unit Plan (Individual or Group)
20% Unit Presentation (Individual or Group)
