The intensive all day format of the Institute will enable participants to engage in both theoretical discussion and
practical activities. Generally, the morning will be devoted to theory through discussion and lecture. In the
afternoon, using currently prescribed and recommended English, Socials and Science texts, practical
applications of theory and curriculum adaptations will be developed. Textbooks will be available, but teachers
may wish to bring textbooks students are working with at the Intermediate and Junior High levels.
