    COURSE DESCRIPTION
    The nine day program designed for practicing classroom teachers focuses upon the identification and modification of
    students who have disturbing behavior. In particular, methods and strategies for students identified as FAS/EFFECT and
    ADD will be developed. An interdisciplinary approach to short-term and long-term involvement will be investigated. The
    academic, social and relationship implications of classroom management strategies will form a significant part of the
    program.
    INSTRUCTOR PROFILE
    Dr. Richard Zigler is a seasoned Student Support Services Director responsible as Change Agent in a number of school
    districts in western Canada and as such, has been responsible for significant changes in meeting the challenges of children
    with special needs. His broad experience in all aspects of the change process including teacher education, inservice and
    realistic approach to consultation, has met with great success.
