    COURSE DESCRIPTION
    The communication and collaboration skills taught in this course have been organized
    into five content units. A variety of formats will be used to expand students' knowledge
    base through reading, discussion, and writing; and provide practice in applying affective
    collaboration procedures. These experiences will be the content areas for discussion as
    well as for the problem-solving collaborative skills practiced by the class sub-groups
    during the application activities. The instructors will serve in both a lecture capacity and
    in a group facilitation capacity for guiding the students' reading, writing, skill
    application, and discussion about collaboration and consultation procedures.
    COURSE REQUIREMENTS
    A.
    Attendance at all class sessions is expected.
    B.
    Students are expected to actively participate in all discussions and activities.
    C. Readings as assigned and/or needed for Unit Application Projects.
    D. Unit Application Projects.
    GRADES
    A five-point Likert scale will be used to grade the organization, clarity, accuracy and
    references on each of the five papers.
