Pre-requisites:
Certified practicing teacher. Fluency in French: oral and written.
Course Description:
This course is intended for practising teachers of French Immersion
and Programme-cadre de français. The sessions are designed to
provide the participant with the understanding that detection,
evaluation, and re-education can occur in their classroom.
Content:
1.
Identification of learning disabilities;
2.
Evaluation and interpretation of results;
3.
Design of the re-education program;
4.
Use of resource materials (games, computor....);
5.
Teaching strategies: co-operative learning and integration of
content of language.
Evaluation:
There will be two minor assignments: keeping a journal as well as
the preparation of activities and/or material related to the learning
difficulty.
The participants must also submit a report from the reading list
which will be distributed during the first session.
