COURSE DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the course is to introduce educators to concepts and practices related to the
social and emotional needs of gifted students. Participants will learn about the affective
dimensions of giftedness through readings, class discussions, self-assessment, and
relevant lesson planning.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
All assignments will be evaluated on criteria which will be known to the student at the
beginning of the course. Each criterion will be assessed on a Likert scale.

Choice of Annotated Bibliography, Lesson Plan or Biographies Project ................. 30%
