Global Education Minor in Education.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this course students will explore intercultural processes and the development of global
perspectives. Educational approaches intended to support these investigations will be
utilized and analyzed. We will explore approaches to communication and education
which actively engaged students in developing understandings of positive interdependent
relationships on local, national and global levels. Classrooms can be rich and diverse
environments in which to develop intercultural and global perspectives. With this in
mind, course readings and presentations are intended to support and deepen students
understanding and explorations in relation to the whole Field School experience in India
(home stay experiences, service learning opportunities, and other interactions).
EXPECTATIONS
You are expected to approach investigations from an open minded and critical
perspective. You will maximize your learning and support the learning of others by
actively engaging in class activities.
