COURSE DESCRIPTION
Chssroom management is really all about classroom leadership. This course will take an
overview of various leadership styles as they pertain to classroom management and together
work towards developing each student's own leadership style and management plan. While
attending to the need to address how to deal with behaviour problems in the classroom a
significant emphasis of the course will be placed on working together to find ways of developing
a positive classroom environment where the emphasis is on student empowerment, positive
relationships and the creation of caring and safe classroom communities. This course applies
equally well to both elementary and secondary teachers.
