EDUC 401/402 or one of EDUC 100, 220, 230, 240.

DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to show you how to develop positive classroom experiences while building

meaningful and respectful relationships with students. In this course we will explore questions

regarding classroom management and introduce a variety of models of classroom management. In this

process, you will be encouraged to assess these models while at the same time examining and clarifying

your own beliefs regarding classroom management. This investigation coupled with an examination of

management strategies will provide a basis for organizing worthwhile and productive learning

experiences while developing personal philosophies on classroom management.

Small group in-class presentation on an issue/approach in classroom management 20%

Course Portfolio 30%
