COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students will examine various models of classroom management and scrutinize a range of practical
strategies leading to the creation of a detailed personal management plan that is congruent with their
educational philosophies and contemporary educational theory. In addition to considering ways of
addressing behavior problems in the classroom, significant emphasis will be placed on the prevention of
management problems through building meaningful relationships with students, creating safe classroom
communities and employing effective instructional skills.
