DESCRIPTION
The goals of this course are to enable teachers to acquire knowledge about:
• Theory, research and practise relevant to classroom management
• The importance of the first days of school in establishing a positive learning environment
• Learning styles and their application to classroom management
• Establishing the physical environment, routines and rules
• Managing misbehaviour and consequences
• Practising self-reflection to adjust classroom management strategies
• Communicating with parents
• Diverse populations and classroom management
