PREREQUISITE:
EDUC 401/402 or one of EDUC 100, 220, 230, 240.
DESCRIPTION
This course will introduce students to a variety of contemporary approaches to establish and maintain a productive and
positive classroom environment. By examining and critiquing a variety of models, and analyzing individual values and belief
systems about classroom management and discipline, students will engage in considering the elements necessary to create the
desired tone in the classroom.
Evaluation:
Final grades will be based on a variety of sources that may include some or all of the following:
Responses / critiques to weekly readings
Small group in class presentation
Teacher / administrator interview
Term paper
Final Exam
