    Calendar Description: Basic principles of test theory applied to the use of
    measures in education; construction and use of classroom tools for measuring
    achievement of educational objectives, including observation methods; standardized
    tests; overview of contemporary, local and provincial evaluation programs.
    Pre-requisites: Education 220 (Psychological Issues in Education); Math 101
    or Psych 210 recommended
    Topics: Major consideration will be given to;
    1. The evaluation process in education -. an overview

    Classroom tests - planning and construction
    3. Published tests - selection and interpretation
    4. The role of observation and judgement in evaluation
    S. Marking - recording and reporting
    6. Current trends and policies in evaluation
